The 15th Ruikotsu Prize
論文「現代の「マリア観音」と戦争死者慰霊―硫黄島､レイテ島､グアム島､サイパン島の事例から―」が、宗教専門紙『中外日報』が主催する第15回 中外日報社 涙骨賞を受賞しました。本論文では、アジア太平洋戦争の激戦地であった島々に「マリア観音」が建立されるに至った背景と、「マリア観音」を介した平和活動の可能性とを論じている。
My paper, "Contemporary 'Maria Kannon' and the Memorial to the War Dead: The Case of Iwo Jima, Leyte, Guam, and Saipan," was awarded the 15th Chugai Nippo's Ruikotsu Prize. (it is written in Japanese)
